燕尾服起源于英国。在十八世纪初,英国骑兵骑马时,因长衣不便,而将其前下摆向后卷起,并把它别住,露出其花色的衬里,没想到这却显得十分美观大方。

于是,许多其他兵种相继仿效。十八世纪中叶,官吏和平民纷纷穿起剪短前摆的服装作为一种时尚,这样燕尾服就产生了,并且很快地遍及了全英国。到了十八世纪晚期,燕尾服已经在欧美大部分国家风靡起来了。

燕尾服的后衣片长垂至膝部,后中缝开衩一直开到腰围线处,形成两片燕尾。后背两侧有公主线构成,使其造型合体,腰部有横向切断线,与前面的衣摆切断线相接,在横切断线下连接着燕尾部分,这是维多利亚时代男装基本裁法的继承。

后腰横切断接缝上装饰着两粒包扣,后中缝和两侧的公主线均采用劈缝做法,不缉明线。

燕尾服的袖子很细,袖山很高,袖窿较小,在袖根内侧的腋窝部分有一块做成双层的三角形垫布,以增加耐磨性和吸汗性。

板球(cricket),又名木球,一向给人称颂为“绅士的游戏”(gentleman's game),是一项崇尚体育精神(sportsmanship)和“公平比赛”(fairplay)的运动。板球起源于英国,盛行英国、澳大利亚、新西兰、印度、孟加拉、尼泊尔等国家。据说早在13世纪,英王爱德华一世就曾在英格兰东南部的肯特参加过类似板球的运动。板球被誉为贵族运动,亨利八世称板球为“国王的运动”。直至今日,板球还是被看成中产阶级的运动。虽然出身高贵,英国目前正在采取措施,普及板球运动。过去近20年来年来,澳大利亚一直是板球运动的霸主。但英格兰的实力正在回升,更因为几个球员外形俊朗,吸引了一大批年轻的球迷捧场。 板球项目是锻炼手眼的协调能力,集上肢动作控制能力、技巧与力量为一体的综合性运动。比赛项目为团体赛。板球中所用的球中心为软木,外表为红色皮革。红色皮革用线缝制起来。这部分叫做“缝线”。快投手们都让球的这部分先着地,借助场地的作用,就可以让球偏离原来的方向,增加击球的难度。以前,板球队员们都穿白色体恤衫,随着彩色衣服的使用,有时也使用白色的球。 ▲重量及体积 一个全新板球的重量必须不轻于5 1/2盎斯/155.9克,或不重于5 3/4盎斯/163克,及其周长不小于 8 13/16英寸/22.4厘米,或不大于9英寸/22.9厘米。 ▲板球的确认及监控 (a) 所有在比赛中使用的板球,必须得到裁判及队长的确认,并须于掷币前,交由裁判保管及直至比赛结束。 (b) 裁判须于每次出局或中场前及比赛中断期间接过赛球。 ▲宽度及长度 球板全长不能大于38英寸/96.5厘米,须为全木制造,而最宽部位不能大于4 1/4英寸/10.8厘米。 ▲击球板的覆盖 板面可以用物料覆盖作保护、强化及维修之用。而该物料不能厚于1/16英寸/1.56毫米,及不能对球造成损害。 ▲手及手套视为球板一部份 (a) 球板指击球员手中的球板。 (b) 赛球与球板的接触是,当赛球 (i) 与击球手球板接触 (ii) 与击球手持板手接触 (当手和球板接触) (iii) 与击球手持板手手套任何一部份接触 (当手套任何一部份和球板接触) 比赛规则 ▲时间 板球比赛时间长度不一,国际板球中,测试赛(Test)的一场比赛每天进行六小时或以上,并长达五天,每方各打两局;还有许多午餐 (Lunch) 和饮茶 (Tea) 的休息时间;以及丰富的板球术语,都是使板球门外汉非常困扰的原因。另外还有单日比赛,这种比赛每方只打一局有回合限定的比赛,也叫限制回合比赛(Limited Overs)。单日比赛分为国际性单日比赛(One Day International)和国际性二十20比赛(Twenty20 International)。前者为每方50回合,后者为每方20回合,使时间进行较长的比赛充满激烈性。除了国际大赛,还有无限制回合的甲级比赛 (First Class),还有每方50回合的单日比赛 (One Day,又名List A)和每方20回合的二十20比赛(Twenty20)。再往下就是当地的小俱乐部之间的比赛,一般都只举行每方一局的无回合限制比赛和每方50回合的单日比赛。 ▲目标 板球是以击球(batting)、投球(bowling)和接球(fielding)为主的运动。参与者分两队作赛,通常每队11人,一队做攻击,另一队做防守。攻方球员为击球手(batsman),比赛时每次只可派两人落场,致力夺取高分数;一人负责击球取分,另一人配合夺分。守方则11位球员同时落场作赛,一人为投球手(bowler)负责把球投中击球手身后的三柱门(wicket),力图将他赶出局(out),其他球员为外野手(fielder),负责把击球手打出的球接住,防止攻方得分(run)。攻方的击球局(innings)完结后,两队便会攻守对调,得分较高那队为胜方。 投球的一方则尽力将对方的击球手出局。击球手出局的方法主要有以下几种: 1、 投球手击中门柱 (Bowled)。 2、 球由击球手击出后未落地前被投球方队员接住 (Caught)。 3、 击球手的腿挡住了球 (Leg Before Wicket,简称LBW)。如果球投在了两个球门柱之间的狭小地带以内,而投球手的腿挡住了原本将击中球门柱的球,击球手出局。这个规则与足球里的越位类似。 4、 当击球手在跑动时,投球方的接球员时刻准备用球击中门柱,如果接球员在击球手跑回击球区界线之前用球击中门柱,该名击球员出局(Run out), 5、击球员在击球过程中并未击到球而离开击球区界线,后捕手(wicketkeeper)在击球员返回之前持球击中三柱门,击球手出局 (Stumped)。 6、 击球员如果用手捧球,即手球,也出局 (Handling the ball)。这种情况较少发生。 7、 故意第二次击球 (Hit the ball twice)。 8、 超时(Time out)。这种情况也很少发生。板球是一项绅士运动,双方队员相互尊重。根据规则,门柱被击中后,新的击球手必须在3分钟以内就位。如果晚于三分钟,击球手出局。 9、 击球手触碰到门柱 (Hit wicket)。 10、 击球手阻碍视线。(Disrupt the field) 很少发生。 ▲球员 投球的一方11名队员全部都在场上,但是击球的一方一次只有两名球员在场上。 投球方的队长可以将9名接球员安置在球场周围。另两名则分别为投球手和后捕手。 投球手投球,而对方的击球手则击球,并设法完成跑动得分。每在两个门柱之间跑动一次,得一分。 如果击球手击出的球到达场边,得4分。如果将球直接击出界外,得6分。 虽然击球方的11名队员都有机会击球,但如果有10名击球手已经出局,则正个队算出局 (all out),因为最后一名击球手已经没有队友可以与他合作。 双方都可以有一名替补队员,叫做“第十二人”,但他不能投球,也不能击球,只能守球。 一局球不一定要整个队出局才算结束,如果队长认为自己这方已经取得足够分数,它可以宣布本局结束 (declared)。 这种方式只会出现在无回合限制赛里面,因为限制回合比赛中比的是在规定回合内哪方得的分更多,宣布结束会变得没有意义。虽然在板球规则里没有提及关于限制回合比赛中是否能够宣布结束,但是这种事情也从来不会发生... 另外在测试赛中,如果先打的队第一局的分比后打的队第一局的分要多150或以上,先打的队长可以选择让后打的队先开始第二局比赛 (follow on)。 ▲胜利 假如说一个队胜利了,有三种情况: 1、成功追回制定分数(target),表示方法是:在N个未出局情况下胜利(won by N wickets)。 2、成功保住制定分数,表示方法是:以N分胜利(won by N runs)。N=胜利方总分-失败方总分。 3、剩余一局未打便成功保住制定分数。这种情况只发生在无限制回合赛中,表示方法是:还剩余一局未打的情况下以N分胜利(won by an innings and N runs)。N=胜利方分数-失败方总分。 ▲和局 和局(Draw) 出现在无限制回合赛中,意思是在比赛时间内未分出胜负,投球方没能把击球方送出,击球方也没能完成制定分数。和局在比赛中经常出现,天气恶劣也是出现和局的一种因素。当然和局不表示比赛无聊乏味,有时候将失利婉转为和局的重要性也不亚于反败为胜。 ▲平局 对比和局,平局(Tie)的出现次数极少。在近2000场测试赛中,仅出现了2次平局(1960年澳洲对西印度群岛和1986年澳洲对印度)。平局出现在击球方在两队总分相等的时候全出。国际性单日比赛中出现了23次平局,最近一次是在08年2月20日英格兰对新西兰。而在刚刚出现的国际性二十20比赛中就已经出现了4次平局。 值得注意的是,在1996年12月一场英格兰对津巴布韦的测试赛中,出现了两队总分相等的和局。这也是在板球历史上唯一一场等分的和局。 ▲无结果 无限制回合比赛出现和局,而在限制比赛中则叫做无结果比赛(No results)。意思是由于特殊因素比赛未能分出胜负,比赛没有结果。无结果比赛经常由于天气原因中断比赛而出现。为了尽量将中断的比赛得出结果,出现了D/L计算方式,或者"达克沃斯/刘易斯计算方式"(Duckworth/Lewis Method),由富兰克-达克沃斯和托尼-刘易斯制定,用来计算第二队在限定回合被缩短的情况下的制定分数,从而能够得出比赛结果。 ▲板球引发的冲突 对于球迷来讲,这项运动以及顶级板球国家队之间的激烈竞争,都为他们提供了充满激情的娱乐,甚至偶尔会发生外交冲突,如1933年到1934年灰烬杯(Ashes Cup)英格兰与澳大利亚之间臭名昭著的快速投球战术(Bodyline)。 灰烬杯
